External recruitment

Filling a vacant lost by somebody that is not already employed in the business.

* Brings in new ideas
* There will be a wider choice
* Avoid the risk of upsetting workers

Limitations

* It takes longer to fill the vacancy
* It is more expensive than external recruitment
* External applicant will need induction training, thus creasing expenses
